All who accept the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church faith and order,all
who abide by the articles of the bylaws of the Debre Guenet Abune Teklehaimanot church,
and all who have registered by filling out the membership form are qualified to be members.

Rights and responsibilities of members:

1.	Rights

  (i)	For husbands and wives for each to become members
  (ii)	To elect and be elected for the purpose of providing services to the church
  (iii)	To participate in meetings; offer ideas, and vote on motions and resolutions
  (iv)	To benefit from church services
  (v)	To voluntarily and for personal reasons withdraw from membership, and
  (vi)	To invite church members and encourage them to join
  (vii)	To sign and receive a copy of the church bylaw

2.	Responsibilities
  (i)    Pay annual membership dues
  (ii)   Follow the Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahdo Church faith
  (iii)  Understand and accept the bylaws of the church
  (iv)   Honor church guidelines and resolutions
  (v)    Support efforts to implement church objective and reach goals
  (vi)   Honor invitations of the Parish Council and be present at meetings
  (vii)  Protect the honor and the good name of the church
  (viii) Handle legal documents with care and pledge not to use for personal gains.
